Funeral Balloons is here!!!!

Every new album is like a new child. This album is my 7th child. Jesus , I’m old.
Anyway, I’ve been yapping about this for months and months now and the day is finally here. I just wanted to have a go to place where anyone interested in the album can find it. To stream or buy. Either way works for me. I only hope you enjoy it.

Lastly, I did an interview for Noisey. I talk honestly about what happened with ninja tune, what i think about NYC rap and how sampling is what I do, no matter what direction music keeps turning.

So, yeah! I hope you enjoy it. I’m hitting the road soon and I’ll post as many dates as I can gather once I have them all lined up…but for now…here’s what we got:

European dates and more US dates to be added soon but I figure it’s best to get these out now then just sit on them.

Hope to see as many of you there as possible. If I can be serious and corny for a moment, I’m really lucky that I get to make music for a living. And it’s thanks to you guys. So, thank you all for sticking with me over these years. I’ve been making music for 20 plus years now and I can’t think of anything I’d rather be doing.

Surprise! Some new music!

So, over the last few years I’ve been quietly working on a fun side project with De wolfe records. For those who aren’t familiar, De wolfe is a Music library that has been supplying music to tv, radio and film for almost 100 years. When you say the words “library record” to a sample based producer, you will notice their eyes light up. This is because these kinds of records have been the source of endless amazing samples for many of your favorite producers. In my case, the good people at De Wolfe were kind enough to open their vaults to me and use their older material to make my very own library record. Now, to be clear, there aren’t songs like you’ll hear on my albums. These are more just beats that fit a mood and would work well with song placement. That said, it’s still very much in my lane. If you’ve ever heard my first release “Blockheads broke beats” on Mush records, this is more along those lines than anything else I’ve released. De wolfe (Via it’s new label BiteHard) is just streaming it now on their site and it will eventually be for sale/DL. So check it out. It’s got all sorts of moods for you to sink your teeth into.

Also, while I got you here, I’m pleased to announce that the pre-order link for the Vinyl release of “Uncle Tony’s coloring book” (on Young Heavy Souls records) is up…so, if you’ve been waiting to get that album on vInyl all these years, the time is NIGH! It’s a limited run so I’d advise to get on sooner than later, before they’re all gone.

“Bells and Whistles” Limited edition red vinyl Repress!

0005994980_10

It’s been out of print for a while now but it is back, in limited numbers.
I had my newest album, “Bells and Whistles” repressed in a special red vinyl. There are only 500 copies. And you can only get it from one place. Bandcamp. It’s only $20 and it should go pretty quickly. So, get on that and order it!
https://blockheadnyc.bandcamp.com/album/bells-and-whistles
It’s a double vinyl and comes with a download code for a high quality digital version. Enjoy it!
It should also be added, people often ask me “How do i buy your music and you get the highest money %?” Outside of buying it from me directly at a show, Bandcamp it is. So, by getting this record from bandcamp, you’re helping your bro (me) out and that’s pretty cool of you.
